A violent robber who used a stun gun on a woman as he struck in Wembley has been jailed for nine years.
Daniel Lungu stunned the 29-year-old in the neck and head four times causing her to collapse after targeting her in Chamberlayne Avenue, on March 21, at 8.30am.
Harrow Crown Court heard Lungu was disturbed by a neighbour who confronted him with two gold clubs after hearing the victim’s scream.
He ran away but another man gave chase where he was arrested by police in nearby East Lane.
Yesterday (Tuesday), Lungu from Hendon, was convicted of attempted robbery, grievous bodily harm and possessing a prohibited weapon and sentenced.
The two men who gave chase were commended in court by the judge.
Detective Constable Paul Sumner from Brent Police said: “This was a despicable crime and this sentence sends out a clear message.
“Those contemplating committing these sorts of offences on our borough must expect that the full weight of the law will be brought to bear against them through the judicial system.”
