Crystal Palace fans injured in unprovoked attack in Wembley after Emirates cup final

A female Crystal Palace fan has been permanently injured after she was repeatedly kicked by football thugs in a brutal unprovoked attack in Wembley.

The victim’s partner was also punched in the face by the violent pair outside Wembley Stadium train station following the Emirates cup final on May 21.

Today detectives are appealing for information to catch the attackers who are believed have targeted the couple because they support Crystal Palace.

The couple, who are both in their 40s, were making the way home after the match where Manchester United defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 had ended, when they the vicious assault took place at around 4.40pm.

The woman’s foot was repeatedly kicked by the two men after she fell to the ground.

She was rushed to hospital where she was treated for a dislocate foot which has resulted in a permanent injury.

Her partner did not need medical treatment.

One of the attackers is describes as a young white man, short and stocky with distinctive side-burns down to his jaw.

DC Lauren Taylor-Rose, from Brent CID, said: “This was nasty unprovoked attack on a couple enjoying cup final day in Wembley.
