Two men were pinned to the floor and kicked in the head during a mass brawl on a Jubilee Line train.

The fight broke out at about 1.30am on the northbound platform at Waterloo underground station after a man wearing a bright purple, brown and gold Moschino patterned suit and four others started arguing.

The argument erupted into a full blown fight on the night tube train and lasted the whole of the roughly 35 minute journey during the early hours of Saturday, August 5.

At one point along the route a sixth man – dressed in a blue jumper with white stripes and grey trousers – joined in using his crutch as a weapon to beat the others.

The crutch-wielder and first man – described as black with a Mohawk haircut and beard – spilled out onto the platform at Swiss Cottage where they waited for the next train.

But the group of four white men aged about 18 got off their train at Finchley Road where they lay in wait for the second train.

Three of them joined the service restarting the fight – with the two men getting kicked and punched in the head whilst being pinned to the carriage floor – before the clash spilled out onto a platform at Wembley Park station where officers arrested the five.

Three of the men required hospital treatment, but have since been discharged. Injuries included cuts, bruises and a fractured neck.

Det Con Michael Baker said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard the disorder on this train.

“We need as many accounts as possible from any potential witnesses in order to establish exactly what happened and the sequence of events.

“The man who was initially on his own was wearing very distinctive clothing which may jog people’s memories.

“It is essential we establish the exact circumstances of this violent incident,” he added.
