A Cricklewood community association has been shortlisted for an award for beatifying their local train station.
Volunteers from Cricklewood Town Team (CTT) led judges around Cricklewood Station yesterday which is up for an award by the Association of Community Rail Partnership (ACORP) in the “It’s Your Station” category.
More than 30 volunteers from CTT has spent months cleaning up their station with collages, and plants, in an “Adopt Your Station” project.
Marie Hancock, member of CTT, praised all those who put in the effort to enhance their station.
She said: “Such was the success of the work, volunteers were full of more ideas, including a water butt, so that we could environmentally look after the plants and a living Christmas Tree so this would be the focus of the Town Centre in the festive period”.
