The Crest Academy was in celebratory mood yesterday after scoring its best ever set of GCSE results.
Half of all students bagged at least five A* to C grades including English and maths, with four students achieving a remarkable 44 A* or A grades between them.
Further maths was the best performing subject, with 100pc of those that took the exam gaining a grade between A* and C, while physics had 94pc of its exams graded in the same region.
Mohsen Ojja, Principal of the school, said: “I would like to congratulate students on the Academy’s best set of results to date, and to take the opportunity to thank staff for their hard work and commitment.
“We really are absolutely delighted for our students, their families and our community. It has been a time of exceptional progress and improvement at the Academy and we are confident this will continue apace.”
