Hundreds of residents turned out at Brent’s Fun Day at St Raphael’s Children Centre, where the countryside came to Neasden.

A host of activities were on offer at the event which took place on Saturday 22nd July, including a barbeque, beauty makeovers, and a kids DJ.

A variety of farm animals were also in attendance including chickens, ducks, and rabbits, whilst children had the opportunity to pet and feed goats, lambs, and a baby pony.

Councillor Zaffar Van Kalwala, who helped organise the event said: “I wanted residents to experience something different so it was great to see the whole community enjoying and having fun together. The event was about actually supporting the community and giving them a unique experience and hopefully they’ve got that with the animals.

“I would like to thank Barnardos, John Sisk and local residents for all their hard work and

support.”
