Tesco have announced it will axe 24-hour trading at its stores that are being underused by shoppers during night.

The supermarket giant has not revealed which stores will slash its opening hours but the changes could affect its Tesco Wembley Extra branch in Great Central Way, Neasden.

A spokesman said: “We’re always thinking about how to best serve customers in each of our stores.

“Where there is a case to look at the opening hours of a store, we will do so, but any decisions will be made locally and our colleagues will be the first to know.”

The affected stores are expected to open at 6am and close at midnight.
