A Conservative MP who lives in Wembley will be thrown in jail next month – all in the name of a charity in Kenton.

Bob Blackman and nine other fundraisers will become prisoners at Pinner Police Station until they raise a minimum bail of £1,000 each.

The money will be donated to St Luke’s Hospice as part of its annual Jail & Bail event.

The Harrow East MP and his jail mates ‘can raise the ‘fee’ in the run up to the event and will be allowed access to a mobile raise any shortfall on the day.

Asif Iqbal MBE, President of Harrow United Deaf Club, who will be taking part in the event, said: “The hospice offers the patients and their families tremendous support.

“I was also impressed with the highest quality of care from the compassionate staff for the patients and their family through difficult times.

“I would urge all supporters to donate to St Luke’s Hospice to raise the much needed funds to support more patients and their families and access the services free of charge.”

St Luke’s still need more brave prisoners to take part in the event on March 27.
