Students and staff at a college in Brent raised £120 for charity by taking part in Macmillan’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.
The group from the College of North West London, which has campuses in Willesden and Wembley, put their baking skills into action for the event on Friday.
The delicious array for sale included lemon drizzle cake, cupcakes, chocolate cake, date and walnut cake, ginger cake and iced buns.
Sara Shabaan, an 18-year-old student, said: “It’s fantastic to be a part of this national event where we contributed to a good cause like Macmillan Cancer Support. “I hope the money we raise will bring some relief to those who are suffering.”
