STUDENTS, councillors and teachers united to launch a new community group.
North West London Citizens was launched at Kingsbury High School, in Princes Avenue, Kingsbury, and aims to bring diverse communities across north west London together to work for the common good.
Branches of London Citizens have already been set up in other parts of London and have scored many high profile successes, including ethical guarantees written into the 2012 Olympic Games bid.
Thomas Owoo, a teacher at Kingsbury High School, who has helped set up the group, said: "The aim is to develop partnerships within this group so the different individual groups could work together in achieving a goal."
The next meeting will be held on July 17 at Kingsbury High School.
