An animal charity in Kensal Green has been handed an early Christmas present by visitors who flocked to their annual festive fair.

The seasonal event hosted by The Mayhew Animal Home in Trenmar Gardens, raised £4,146 to help the creatures in their care as well as funding their community based initiatives.

Caroline Yates, The Mayhew’s CEO, said: “We are delighted by this year’s total which exceeds our expectations.

“To have the event at the home was a joy as we saw people come through our doors and share our passion for animal welfare.

We want to say thank you to all who came and supported us on the day, as always we are reliant on the generosity of our supporters to ensure the work we do reaches more animals in need and grows from strength to strength.”
