A child and five adults were rescued after a fire broke out in a block of flats in Wembley in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to the apartment block in Alliance Close just after 3am on Saturday morning to reports of six people including a child trapped in a smoke-filled building.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus led a man to safety after the blaze broke out in his flat.
He was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by London Ambulance crews.
Four adults and a child in a neighbouring flat were helped to safety while crews battled for just under an hour to bring the fire under control.
A man from a third property who escaped the building before fire crews arrived was assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital for treatment.
The blaze was brought under control by 3:58am and the cause of fire is under investigation.
