A chemical spill brought Harlesden to a stand-still when a road was blocked off and emergency services called.

Park Parade in Harlesden was cordoned off from 12pm to 2.30pm today (Friday) as the Fire Brigade, police and London Ambulance service secured the area.

The Scientific Support Unit of the fire service was on hand as fire fighters in bio-hazard made the area safe.

No injuries were reported and the road was returned to normal by mid afternoon.
