Accident and Emergency department is to close six years after £62million makeover
Campaigners have launched two petitions calling on both the council and MPs to back the fight to save Central Middlesex’s A&E department.
The casualty unit will be certain to close under the Shaping a Healthier programme, a scheme designed to transform health care across eight North West London boroughs.
Residents who wish to use the casualty department will now be forced to use Northwick Park in Harrow or St Mary’s in Paddington for emergency services.
An e petition on the Brent Council website has been launched as well as a paper petition which will be presented to MP’s in the local area.
