Businesses can take their place in history by sponsoring a message bubble at this year’s Kilburn Festival.
Emma Shaughnessy, of speech impairment charity Giving Voice, is behind the idea, to help mark the centenary celebrations of Kilburn Grange Park.
With the help of Giving Voice volunteers, a 10x2 metre Wishing Wall will be created and displayed at the festival on July 14.
It will showcase 100 speech bubbles, each containing a message of hope and aspiration for the future and the wall will be eventually housed at South Kilburn Studios. Festival manager, Caren Owen, said: “We want this Wishing Wall to be a snapshot in time, reflecting the people who enjoy the locality today – and a message for the local communities of the future.”
Businesses can sponsor a bubble for £10, and proceeds will be donated to Giving Voice. Email carencan@mac.com or call 07595 049320.
