Brondesbury Park councillor Joel Davidson has been selected as the Conservatives’ candidate to contest the Brent and Harrow seat in next year’s London Assembly elections.
Cllr Joel Davidson was selected as the Tories’ candidate after pipping his rival - Harrow councillor Ameet Jogia- to the post in a first-round vote of Conservative party members from across Brent and Harrow.
Taking to social media site Twitter after his win, Cllr Davidson said: “I’m deeply honoured to have been selected as the Assembly Tories candidate for Brent and Harrow- thank you all- the hard work starts today.”
The accountant, who has been a councillor for the Brondesbury Park ward since 2014 will now campaign to capture the Brent and Harrow seat from Labour party incumbent Navin Shah AM in the Greater London Assembly elections in May 2016.
