Chief Superintendent Matt Gardner is leaving Brent


The borough’s top police chief will be leaving Brent for pastures new.

Chief Superintendent Matthew Gardner is taking up a new role as Operational Command Unit Commander of Met Detention.

He joined the borough in July 2010.

Chief Supt Gardner’s successor has been named as Chief Supt Mickey Gallagher who is currently based in Lewisham.
