Six youngsters have been shortlisted out of 261 entries

Council chiefs have picked the six finalists for the competition to design a library card for Wembley Library and now need residents to vote online for the winner.

From today residents can choose their favourite design from each of the three shortlisted for the two separate age categories of four to 13 years old, and 14 years and over.

Each shortlisted design was selected by a judging panel after 261 entries were submitted to the competition organised by the council/.

The shortlisted designs for the under 13 category were done by Amelie Kuet, Marimar Aneypa, and Sheneaqua Francis; and for 14 and over by William Peter, Katinka Achrafie and Elvira D’Silva.

The competition also attracted schools and young people’s organisations such as Leopold Primary in Harlesden and Granville Youth Arts Plus in Kilburn.

The design with the most votes will win its age category.

The voting deadline is midnight on 30 April.
