Seller was duped into handing over limited timepiece on Ebay
Three men have been bailed after an Ebay seller was duped into posting a watch to a buyer after receiving a fake email that payment had been made.
The men were held at an address in Bowrons Avenue, Wembley, after the German seller contacted the police after realising they may have been scammed.
Officers from Wembley Central Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) attended the address of the ‘buyer’ and arrested three men for false representation.
The trio, who are Romanian nationals, been bailed to return to a police station next month.
The hunt is on to find the rare Swatch Hollywood dream watch so it can be returned to its rightful owner.
Anyone who has seen the watch is asked to call your local SNT or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
