The borough’s sporty mayor will be donning his trainers once again by taking part in the London marathon for a charity in Cricklewood
Cllr Bobby Thomas will be tackling his 27th marathon to raise funds for Ashford Place, which was formerly Cricklewood Homeless Concern.
Ashford Place offers a variety of resources to the Brent community including services for elderly and isolated residents, engaging with young people, helping vulnerable people back to work and public realm improvements.
Cllr Thomas is a veteran to the 26.2 mile challenge as he has completed 10 in London, five each in New Forest, Harrow and overseas and one in Kingston.
The Labour councillor for Kensal Green aims to raise £10,000 for the charity.
