Brent’s mayor has endorsed the work of a charity helping victims of crime in Brent.
Cllr Bobby Thomas paid a visit the borough’s Victim Support branch at its centre in Morland Gardens, Stonebridge, to hear about the work of its volunteers.
Victim Support is a national charity that offers free confidential support and advice to people and their families who have been victims of crime.
Cllr Thomas said: “I am fully supportive of the service provided and think that it is essential in Brent.”
A spokesman for the volunteers said: “’It was nice that the first citizen of Brent showed an interest in our work and took time to come and speak to us’.”
Brent residents who have been a victim or witness of crime can contact Victim Support on 0207 259 2424 to speak to someone about free and confidential support.
