Brent has been named as one the most Europhile areas in the country, according to a report released today.
Pollsters YouGov has placed the borough as the 10th in the country after analysing data from its profiles of 80,000 British people ahead of the EU referendum on June 23.
The results used figures based on the average net support for leaving the EU in each area YouGov had enough profile data for.
A statement on the YouGove wesbite said: “The euroscepticism of various areas partly correlates with lower income (we see this effect in our national polling where higher social grades are more clearly in favour of remaining in the EU), but euroscepticism also has strongholds in the more wealthy, Tory shires.”
Conservative-run Havering in east London has been named as the most Eurosceptic area in the country.
