Sky Ride programme kicks off on Sunday for the second year
Brent Council is partnering with British Cycling for a second year to encourage thousands of people to dust off their bikes and go cycling again.
The Sky Ride programme, which begins tomorrow, will offer a series of free, fun, guided bike rides around the borough.
Guided by British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic planned routes, the three rides promise to offer a great way to get out and see the borough on two wheels.
Jason Kenny, OBE, a double Olympic track cycling champion said: “Cycling is a fantastic way to stay fit and healthy, plus its lots of fun too. I’d encourage everyone, of all ages and abilities to get out on their bikes and take part in a Sky Ride Local ride in Brent this summer.”
The first ride, Brent and Boarders Greenway, will take place tomorrow and places must be booked in advance
Robert McLean, recreation manager in London for British Cycling, said: “If you’ve not been on a bike for a while don’t worry, our friendly and experienced leaders are there to help and support you.”
Register today for free rides taking place throughout the summer.
