Hundreds of people looking for a new career headed to Wembley Park to try their luck at a job fair.

The Job Show, a national recruitment event, kicked off at 11am in Wembley Stadium yesterday, supported by the West London Alliance, Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation and Segro.

People grabbed the chance to speak with recruiters and educational representatives about their future plans with some bagging job opportunities on offer.

Several exhibitors looking to fill positions booked in follow-up interviews with talented job seekers. Others signed up to further education courses and apprenticeship schemes.

Cllr Amer Agha, Brent Council’s cabinet member for employment and skills, said: “It’s great that we’ve been able to support the Job Show. This event is valuable to helping uplift our community and supporting residents on their journey whether it’s through employment or onto further education or an apprenticeship.”

Caroline Connaughton, The Job Show’s managing director, said: “We are delighted The Job Show Wembley made such a positive social impact throughout the community. We very much look forward to returning next year.”
