Council chiefs have launched a public consultation about plans to make Brent a more ‘walking-friendly’ borough.

The town hall proposals aim to make Brent a ‘healthy, active and safe borough’ where walking is practical and pleasant for all.

They are keen to hear from all residents, schools and businesses about their thoughts.

Cllr Eleanor Southwood, Brent Council’s cabinet member for the environment, said: “Walking helps people to improve their health and reduce air pollution.

“We are really keen to hear what we can to do improve the experience of walking in the borough and encourage more people to choose to walk.”
