Brave runners took on the ultimate challenge this weekend as they raised thousands of pounds for a charity looking after the borough’s young people.

Sandra Boga, Victor Iciarte, Miles Entwistle and John Atkins completed the 26 mile route through central London in support of Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP).

The charity, in Winchester Avenue, Kilburn, has been in operation since 1967 striving to improve the mental health of young people in the community and provides talking therapies to more than 500 young people every year.

Dr Maxim de Sauma, CEO and clinical director of the BCYP said: “We are so grateful to the runners for their support this year. The money they have raised will go a long way, ensuring we are able to offer a space for a young person in distress to come and talk to a trained professional when they need it. Demand for our services has increased so much in recent years, and without fundraising such as this we just couldn’t keep up.”

The Brent Centre for Young People relies on donations in order to keep their services running. To make a donation or to get involved, visit their website, at www.brentcentre.org.uk
