A football-friendly estate agent chain in Brent is allowing employees to leave work early so they can watch England play in the Euro 2016.

Daniels which has a branch near Wembley Stadium, the home of football, and three others in Neasden, Sudbury and Kensal Rise will be rolling out the flexible hours to fit around England games during the tournament taking place in France.

Senior managers will sit in for the workers while they watch the games at their place of choice.

Francis Henry, a partner at Daniels, said: “We believe we are the hardest working estate agents in the borough and that makes it even more important for us to create a sensible work – life balance for our staff.”

In a further twist, the company’s four offices will open one hour later after any England game scheduled for an evening kick off – to allow for celebrations after the match if the team are victorious.

If England reach the finals in Paris on July 10 all branches will have amended opening hours the next day, and if they win Euro 16 they will be closed the following day to allow workers to nurse a hangover.

Mr Henry added: “If England wins we will allow our staff to join the nation in celebrating what will be a truly remarkable victory.”
