Police are appealing for witnesses following an arson attack on a community resource centre in Cricklewood.

Intruders set fire to Ashford Place in Ashford Road, after breaking into the building around 4.15am on Tuesday.

No one was injured but an area in the building was damaged during the blaze.

Danny Maher, the charity’s chief executive officer, said in a statement: “Whilst a couple of our support groups have been put on hold for a few days, all of our advice services and most classes are back to normal.

“Our staff, volunteers and partners have shown an outstanding commitment to keeping services to vulnerable customers going, and we are very fortunate to have such an amazing team.

“We will be back to normal services sometime next week and thank each one of you.”

Anyone with information should call Brent Police on 020 8733 3709 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
