A 24-hour gym in Alperton was closed to members yesterday morning after a man in his 50s collapsed and died in the changing rooms.
Police were called to reports of a ‘sudden’ death in the changing facilities at The Gym in the Atlip centre on Ealing Road, Alperton shortly after 10:30am on Sunday.
Gym-goers took to social media to express their shock at the incident.
An employee for the The Gym group confirmed the centre re-opened yesterday afternoon after police left the premises.
Police are treating the death as non-suspicious and the case has been passed to the coroner.
