Gift allows motor vehicle students to boost their studies

Trainee mechanics at a Willesden college will be able to boost their studies by tinkering under the bonnet of a car donated to them by an Alperton dealership.

Dagenham Motors in Ealing Road, gave a Vauxhall Astra to the College of North West London in Dudden Hill Lane, allowing students to gain first-hand experience in motor vehicle maintenance and repair.

Ivan Pletersky, general manager at Dagenham Motors, said: “As a local business we feel it is important for us to contribute to the community, which is why we want to support our local colleges and learning centres.

“The students currently studying for motor vehicle qualifications are the service technicians of the future and we want them to have the best training possible.”
