A rogue landlord has been banned from letting or managing housing in England for five years after breaching housing laws.
Sanjay Patel, from Harrow, received the ban after Brent Council uncovered serious safety breaches at one of his rental properties.
Enforcement officers found more than 18 people living in a house in Wyld Way, Wembley, which was licensed for just seven occupants.

Thomas Cattermole, corporate director of resident and housing services at Brent Council, said: "This banning order sends a clear message that Brent does not tolerate landlords who put profit before people’s safety.
"Every resident deserves a safe and secure home. The council will continue using the strongest enforcement powers available to protect tenants and hold rogue landlords to account."
The overcrowded property included an attic room shared by four people, inoperable windows, and faulty smoke alarms.
In an undeclared outbuilding, a couple and their four-month-old child were living without heating or electricity.
The family was referred to Brent Council’s housing needs and support service for immediate support.
In March, Patel was fined £87,000 by Willesden Magistrates’ Court and ordered to pay a £2,000 victim surcharge and £2,788 in prosecution costs, bringing the total penalty to £91,788.
A tribunal subsequently imposed the five-year banning order. This followed a previous £50,000 fine issued to Patel in 2024 for housing offences at another property in Vivian Avenue, Wembley. That case involved a rat infestation, leaks, and a broken toilet.
Officers found eight people, including two children, living in a home only suitable for five. Additional hazards included mould, faulty doors, and blocked hallways.
