A pub is set to reopen this week after being completely refreshed with a new look and features after a six-figure investment.

Oana Bolohan, who ran the Bokor bar in Kilburn High Road for nearly 10 years, says she is excited for the revamp when the venue reopens under the new name The Kilburn Bridge.

The Craft Union Pub Company says it has invested a six-figure sum into the premises, which will open this Thursday (February 29).

Along with the interior refresh, there will be a new pool table and darts board.

With new HD TVs installed, TNT and Sky Sports will now be shown at the watering hole.

And the pub will host weekly entertainment on a rotating schedule – including darts competitions, pub quizzes, poker nights and DJs across the weekend and live music on a Sunday.

It will also operate with a later licence until 3am for both Fridays and Saturdays.

Bolohan, who has been running the pub since 2015, said: “Having been at this very pub for almost 10 years, it’s been amazing to see the progress and to have been here through all the changes.

“I’m really excited to welcome all my regular locals back and hope to see some new faces too! Kilburn has a special place in my heart, and it’s great to be reopening the refreshed space on the high-street for all to come and enjoy.”

The week after its opening, a launch party will be held throughout the weekend of March 8 and 10.

A fundraiser will be held for The Deaf Children Society to help deaf children with societal and educational barriers, and the pub will also be donating fuds to the Air Ambulance Charity.
