A high-end sushi and cocktail bar is set to open in the heart of Wembley Park.

Plans were approved by Brent Council in December to install an illuminated sign for Nakanojo, described as a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant.

Nakanojo already has two existing branches in Marylebone and Victoria, and according to plans submitted to Brent Council, it will soon open at 8 Wembley Park Boulevard, near the London Designer Outlet.

Its website asks customers: “Why have regular sushi, when you can have Nikkei sushi? Japanese techniques with Peruvian ingredients.”

The menu ranges from traditional dishes such as sashimi to more unique dishes in a Japanese setting, such as tacos with Japanese flavours.

The restaurant will also be equipped with a cocktail bar and promises “unique cocktails exclusively available at Nakanojo”, while traditional cocktails are available on request, as well as a range of Peruvian Pisco and Japanese whisky.

An opening date has not yet been announced.

Nakanojo is one of two Asian-centred developments that developers Quintain secured near the end of last year in Wembley Park.

There are also plans to open Tian Tian Market on Wellers Way, described as a “high-end” Chinese supermarket.
