A man has been charged with vehicle theft and knife possession after a Ferrari was stolen outside a home.

Police have charged a man, 33, with motor vehicle theft, going equipped to steal and knife possession after a Ferrari 812 was stolen on Tuesday (September 19) from a home in Delaware Road, Westminster.

The Ferrari was later spotted that day at around 11.15pm in Westbourne Park Road by police.

A foot chase followed after the driver fled the vehicle, before the 33-year-old was arrested and later charged.

The supercar was recovered by officers investigating an organised car theft gang, police said.

Detective Chief Inspector Dean Purvis, from Central West Local Investigations, added: “The Met is determined to transform how we deliver for Londoners and this includes responding to local priorities, such as vehicle theft.”
