Police say there is a possible link between two fights that left teenage boys injured.

Emergency services were first called to the North Circular Road, in Wembley, to reports of a group of males fighting shortly before 5.45pm yesterday (August 30).

During the incident, a teenage boy entered the road and was hit by a passing car.

He was rushed to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said that the driver of the car stopped at the scene and that they are not thought to be linked to the fight.

Just one hour later, police were called to Neasden Shopping Centre after reports of another group fight involving males at 6.41pm.

Officers arrived to Neasden Lane and found a teenage boy with laceration injuries to his face and head from a sharp object.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told the Brent & Kilburn Times the object could have “potentially” been a knife, or a bottle.

The teenager’s condition is not life-threatening or life-changing, they added.

Police say they are not ruling out that the two incidents – which both had reports of group fights with a weapon and a teen being injured – could potentially be linked.

“That is a line of enquiry,” a spokesperson said.

With both incidents, there have been no arrests but enquiries into the circumstances continue.
