Police have set up a cordon at a residential road.
A section of Barry Road, Stonebridge, has been closed off with police tape on Thursday evening (June 22).
Officers were standing around in the area since around 8.30pm.
This story has now been updated, as police have now confirmed there were reports of gunshots in the area.
A man, believed to be in his 20s, took himself to hospital with injuries.
