A 37-year-old man has been jailed for flashing in public while kids were around.

Dumitru Laurentiu Dita, of Kingsbury Road in Brent, appeared at Central London Magistrates’ Court on April 13 to be sentenced for two exposure offences.

On October 2 last year in Westminster he intentionally exposed his genitals intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress.

He then did the same four months later on February 25, this time in Kensington and Chelsea.

Dita pleaded guilty to both offences at a previous hearing on February 27.

The court heard that the offence was made more serious because of the presence of children in both cases.

Dita has a previous record for identical offences committed not long ago, the court heard.

It was decided that he was no realistic prospect of rehabilitation.

Dita was therefore sentenced to 24 weeks in prison and ordered to register with police in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act for seven years.

He was also ordered to pay £308 to fund victim services.
