A TEENAGER is recovering in hospital after being shot on Wednesday evening.

The 16-year-old was gunned down in Malvern Road, Kilburn, but managed to stagger to nearby Stafford Road where he collapsed at around 11.30pm.

He was rushed to hospital where he underwent vital surgery and is said to be in a stable condition.

His injuries are no longer life threatening.

Detectives from Operation Trident, the Met's specialist team that probes gun crime, are investigating the shooting.
