ONE passenger was arrested and scores could be hauled before the courts after a crackdown on suspected fare evaders travelling on the number 18 bus.
London Buses Revenue Protection Inspectors and officers from Brent Safer Transport Team joined forces to carrying out an operation in Kensal Green.
In addition to the arrest, 78 penalty fares were handed out during the checks that involved 122 passengers on 51 buses.
Transport for London is considering prosecuting 28 passengers.
Guy Baber, Staff Manager for Revenue Protection North West at TfL said: "Fare evaders on our buses cost Londoners around �30 million a year.
"This money could and should be used to further improve the service and we urge all bus passengers to have a valid ticket or ensure they have validated their pay-as-you-go Oyster card to travel.
