Revised plans submitted to Brent Council do little to tackle lack of affordable housing

DEVELOPERS have submitted revised plans for the regeneration of Park Royal to significantly increase the quantity of housing.

The plans by Diageo and London Regional Properties propose 545 new homes and 60,000sq ft of office space.

The changes come after the council expressed a need for more housing in the borough.

However few of the homes will be affordable with 407 for private sale, 70 apartments for shared ownership and 68 apartments for rental.

The project, Firstcentral, was conceived 15 years ago but was primarily office-based with the Guiness’ UK and world headquarters and a further office block that remains vacant already completed.
