Fun day followed a week of singing the Lambeth Walk and learning kings and queens
SCORES of primary schools kids ended a royal week of study with a fun packed day in the park.
The kids from Carlton Vale Infants School, Granville Plus Children’s Centre, Kilburn Park Junior School and St. Mary’s RC Primary School After School Club, all in Kilburn, let their hair down at Carlton Vale open space, in Carlton Vale, Kilburn, after spending the week immersed in all things to do with Great Britain.
The pupils spent last Thursday (28) racing go-karts, sumo wrestling, playing on inflatables and even pelting a school governor with soggy sponges.
Teachers used the build up to the wedding to create a British-themed programme of study teaching the children old English songs such as the Lambeth Walk and the names of countless British kings and queens.
However the children got their own back after getting Re Piddington, the chair of governors at Kilburn Park Junior School, in Malvern Road, Kilburn, in the stocks.
Geraldine Breen, office manager at Kilburn Park Junior School, said: “They had a fantastic time. It went really well. Their loved the stocks and the Sumo wrestling the most.”
