Anson Primary School hailed as ‘world class’

A Willesden Green primary school have shown themselves to be no technophobes by becoming one of only 15 in the country to be recognised for their use of technology.

Anson Primary School in Anson Road, has been presented with the 3rd Millennium Learning Award.

Initiated by ICT association Naace, the award aims to recognise schools that are pushing the boundaries with their use of technology.

Pupils from the school were joined by fellow winners from as far as away as Tyneside and Swansea at special awards ceremony.

Jeff Smith, Headteacher at Anson Primary School, said the award showed that the school was ‘ahead of the game’ in learning techniques.

He added: “This has been a great experience for our school, not only do we demonstrate good practice, leading the field but we also use technology to motivate and inspire our children.

“I am very proud of Anson’s outstanding staff and children.”

Bernadette Brooks, Naace General Manager hailed the school as ‘world class’.

Each video is supported by additional commentary that explains to educators how and why they have developed their practice in the way they have.
