Venue will be hosting the Olympic Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastics competitions
A Wembley venue is gearing up for its role in the forthcoming Games by installing the Olympic Rings on its exterior.
Wembley Arena in Empire Way, is displaying the iconic five rings as it will be hosting the Olympic Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastics competitions.
The rings, which are approximately 7.5 by 3.2 metres, mark the start of the venue’s transformation to an Olympic Games hub.
John Drury, the venue’s general manager, said: “It’s an honour for us to be part of such a global event and seeing the Olympic Rings going up brings it home, how close we now are to welcoming the world to Wembley.”
