Cllr Muhammed Butt, leader of Brent Council, officially declared the centre open at a ribbon ceremony which took place before an array of entertainment was launched including Bollywood dancing.

LDO will also hold a day-long street event next week to mark its opening.

The Sitare festival will be a colourful, vibrant, extravaganza which will take place on November 2.

James Saunders, chief operating officer for Quintain who own LDO, said: “It has been a fantastic day that has really whetted the appetite for the Sitare Festival next weekend.
