EXCLUSIVE - A Brent schoolboy has launched an appeal to track down two good Samaritans who came to his aid after he was stabbed by robbers who were after his designer scarf last week.

Jahmal Swaby, from Stonebridge, was confronted and attacked outside Finsbury Park train station by the gang who demanded he hand over his expensive Louis Vuitton scarf borrowed from his brother.

Despite the 15-year-old being noticeably injured and distressed he was ignored by the public and cars deliberately swerved him as he staggered into the road in a desperate attempt to seek help.

He was eventually saved by two men who told him not to panic, positioned him onto the ground and put pressure on the wound to reduce the loss of blood, before calling the ambulance.

Mr Swaby, a student at a school in Wembley, said: “I didn’t feel pain when it happened but I just remember my life flashing before my eyes.

“Then I went into shock and felt the pain. I was scared but nobody seemed to care – people deliberately tried to avoid me. It made me feel worthless.

“When the police came, they were pushed to one side but they didn’t leave. They waited till the ambulance came to take me away.”

Mr Swaby, who is planning to study technical theatre, was rushed to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, east London, where he stayed for two days to receive treatment for a four inches long and three inches deep stab wound.

During the attack his 15-year-old friend suffered minor injuries while another had his phone stolen.

He said: “I would like to meet and thank them in person. I’m sure that I would not be here today if it wasn’t for their help.”

Adrian Williams, 35, Mr Swaby’s brother and the owner of the scarf, which police have kept as evidence, became his legal guardian after their mother died two years ago.

He said: “I would like to say thank you to them in person. It is rare to find normal citizens who are willing to help people in need these days.

“There are people who openly condemn knife crime and show their support to victims but when push comes to shove, these same people are the ones who walked past my brother, holding their heads down.”

The two Good Samaritans are both white, middle aged, around 6ft tall and of normal build.

Both had Irish accents and one was wearing a black polo top.

Two boys age 14 and 17 who were arrested in connection with the attack have been bailed to return to a police station next month.
