The Labour Parliamentary candidate for Brent Central has opened a campaign office for the run up to the General Election.

Dawn Butler was joined by Education Shadow Minister Tristam Hunt, London Mayoral hopeful Tessa Jowell and former Brent East candidate Robert Evans, at the opening of her new office at 156 High Road, Willesden, last week.

Ms Butler, a former Brent South MP, lost the fight for the sought after seat to the Lib Dem’s Sarah Teather in 2010.

Last year, Ms Teather announced she would step down at the General Election in May.

Ms Butler said: “It’s great to finally open our office in the constituency and so far its been a whirlwind, members and local residents are coming in off the street offering to help out in any way possible to ensure that in May we secure a Labour MP in Brent Central and a Labour Government.”
