Tastebuds at the ready for a community library’s free annual summer fun day taking place in Wembley.
Preston Community Library volunteers, based in Carlton Avenue East, invite the public to their Summer Family Fun Day on Sunday from noon to 4pm.
The afternoon will see the culmination of the Big Bake competition, which will see neighbours compete for the best bite.
As well as children’s activities, families can enjoy a lucky dip, international food, stalls, yoga taster and a tombola.
Tables are for hire at £5 for anyone wanting to sell any good-conditioned belongings they no longer want.
Geraldine Cook, Preston Library volunteer, said: “We held our first Fun Day last year and our inaugural bake-off competition.
“Both were so successful we thought we’d hold another one and sprinkle some summer cheer and merriment to our library members, our wonderful volunteers, local residents and anyone who’d like to come – all welcome.”
