Most people love where they live. But a few seem to think it’s okay to treat Brent like a dump.

Why should we as law-abiding local citizens have to put up with illegal rubbish dumping for a moment longer?

It blights our neighbourhoods, it's bad for the environment, and it costs a lot of money to put right.

It makes me so proud that time and time again, the people of Brent roll up their sleeves, enlist their friends and family and get stuck in with community clean-ups to help restore their streets to their rightful state. These volunteers are the best of us, but it is not fair that a small minority of people persist with wrecking our streets, week in, week out.

On Valentine's Day last week, Brent Council launched the latest phase of our Love Where You Live campaign.

We want to catch more vandals than ever before, but we need your help to identify the culprits.

What we really need is to stop these things happening in the first place. We're ready and willing to catch and prosecute these culprits, but we need your eyes and ears to help us name the offenders.

We want thoughtless fly-tippers to know they're on notice, if we see you engaging in this criminal activity, your face will become infamous and we will work with our community to get your name heard in court.

Working together, I know we can make an environment we can all be proud of.
