Wealdstone had to settle for a share of the National League spoils with Hartlepool after an eight-goal thriller at Grosvenor Vale.

Max Kretzschmar gave the hosts a third-minute lead, before Sean Adarkwa doubled their advantage on 13 minutes.

Adarkwa added a third just before the half-hour mark, but Callum Cooke hit back for the visitors two minutes before the interval.

And Joe Grey grabbed a second on the stroke of half-time to give Hartlepool a further boost heading into the second half.

Stones had a let-off soon after the restart when Cooke's shot came back off the crossbar.

But after Micah Obiero had an effort ruled out, they went 4-2 up when Adarkwa completed his hat-trick.

Adarka went close to his fourth when hitting a post on 78 minutes, and Hartlepool hit back moments later through Josh Umerah.

Mitch Hancox then struck in the last minute of normal time to deny Stones success and ensure honours finished even.
