Rapper is celebrating the release of her second album

Billed as an album launch party, the Jazz Café will be home to a special gig thrown by Speech Debelle next week.
Celebrating the release of her second album “Freedom of Speech”, the concert will mark the transition of the mercury award winning artist into a more energetic and engaged singer in contrast to the confessional style that characterised her earlier work.
The 26-year-old’s appearance will mark her first time at the Camden venue.
While there are unconfirmed reports of her playing to just 50 people in Sheffield two weeks after her mercury win in 2009, small numbers should be a problem at the intimate surroundings of the 350 person capacity Jazz Café.
Technically classing herself as a rapper, her music is not what you would expect to hear if you had been raised on a diet of her male colleagues on the UK hip hop scene. Her show will probably be one for all the singer song-writer fans who have a thirst for authenticity.
Speech Debelle will be appearing at the Jazz Café, 5 Parkway, Camden Town, London, NW1 7PG, On february 23.
Tickets costs £10 and doors open at 7pm.
